Ultra-high-strength steel (UHSS) generally refers to advanced engineering materials with a yield strength≥1180 MPa (or tensile strength≥1380 MPa). These steels achieve ultra-high strength through alloy optimization, microstructure control, and special heat treatment processes such as quenching and tempering or deformation heat treatment, while maintaining a balance of toughness and formability. They also exhibit good weldability and formability.
